Rescue of wild animals

Currently, the Dong Chau – Khe Nuoc Trong Conservation Area does not have a rescue center and a wild animal breeding area, so the activities of rescuing and relocating wild animals face many difficulties. Accordingly, from 2020 until now, the unit has established 03 forest protection patrol teams, dismantled traps to enhance biodiversity conservation, rescue wild animals, and return the natural environment for wild animals to grow and develop; from 2020 until now, the unit has dismantled 135 trap lines, collected 9,572 various traps, and timely rescued 01 individual of Red-shanked douc (Pygathrix nemaeus), 01 individual of Striped rabbit (Nesolagus timminsi), 01 individual of Silver Pheasant (Lophura nycthemera) and many other common animal species.
